Description: This small stock farm is very well developed and lies in an area with strong underground water reserves.

Roughly 24% of the farm consists of undulating flats and the rest is taken up by “rante veldt” and undulating hills. The hills are covered in a mixture of spekboom, pruimboom, and other naturally occurring Karoo scrub veldt and are ideal for game or other browsing small stock. The flatter portion of the veldt is covered in typical Karoo vegetation and includes healthy stretches of riverine Acacias .There are many rocky outcrops that make the farm attractive and would render the farm an exciting hunting or game property. Despite the current dry period, the vegetation is in a good condition and the small stock currently on the farm is in an exceptionally fat condition. This testifies to the healthy environment .There are no known stock debilitating ticks, diseases or poisonous plants in the area e.g. heartwater, or nente.

IMPROVEMENTS:

The property has been divided into 15 camps which are all fenced with stock proof fencing in good condition.190 h has been enclosed with game fencing and serves as the mountain hunting camp. A new stretch of 9 km of netted fencing had recently been erected next to the approaching road. The camps each have at least two drinking troughs and the quality of the water is good and sustainable. Generally the fencing is in a good condition.

The water is supplied via a network of 18 windmills, cement reservoirs and plastic piping .In addition there are 8 ground dams and 6 sets of stock working kraals.

OUTBUILDINGS:

There is 835m square of steel and mortar shed space which incorporates a lorry shed and other storage facilities. The shearing shed (13, 7 by 7,6m) has oregon floors and is surrounded by kraaling facilities for shearing. A long and very impressive stonewall forms the Northern Boundary of the kraal. The farm yard is well supplied with excellent quality water for gardening and for wetting 3 h of Lucerne around the homestead.

THE HOMESTEAD

The modern homestead has five bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a TV lounge, dining room, kitchen and separate lounge. There is a well established garden and nursery and separate laundry, butchery and cool room facility.

General comment:

This is a very healthy part of the Karoo and is disease free.

The landscape renders it a very attractive hunting or game option. Game such as eland and gemsbok, springbok and kudu thrive in the area. A small number of game is included in the sale including springbok, fallow deer, eland bulls and plenty of kudu.

It lies in a very safe and relatively crime free area.

The access roads to the property are in a very good condition and are well maintained. There is also a vast network of roads on the property, making it easily assessable.
